Reeves Downtown School of Music

Players with some experience will enjoy jump-starting their skills in this 6-week intensive class. For two hours, once a week, instructor Eli Billings will help students learn foundational guitar skills, including how to properly use a capo, chord forms, the Nashville Number System, and more to help beginner students get comfortable playing in public. Students will take these skills and learn to apply them to favorite songs as a group. This is an adult-level class but students of all ages are welcome as long as they can participate at an adult level.

Please note, this is a 6-week course taught over 7 weeks. No class Thanksgiving week.

REQUIRED MATERIALS: Guitar, notebook, pencil, recording device (such as a smart phone)

PREREQUISITES: Fundamental knowledge of your instrument of choice (advanced beginner to intermediate level) and knowledge of basic chords and strumming patterns.
