Bluegrass Beginner Jam w/ the Biscuit Eaters
with Meredith Wilkerson
Students of all ages who know a few chords on their instrument are welcome in this class, hosted by local award-winning family band The Biscuit Eaters, and guided by their mom, Meredith Wilkerson.
Students will learn jam etiquette, standards songs, how to "take a break" during a jam, and different keys of songs in a relaxed and supportive class atmosphere.
Bluegrass banjo, fiddle, guitar, & mandolin players are all welcome.
Prerequisites: Profiency in your instrument (should know a few chords/finger positions)
Materials to bring: Instrument of choice (see above), notebook & pencil or recording device

Fiddle Fundamentals (Ages 5-9)
with Meredith Wilkerson

Young aspiring fiddlers and their caregivers are welcome in this foundational class! Caregivers will participate alongside students each class, to better be able to assist with practicing at home. No experience is necessary from student or caregiver!
Students and their caregivers will learn the fundamentals and get started playing songs.
Prerequisites: None.
Materials to bring: Bring a fiddle if you have one, or email meredith@reevesmusic.org to check availability on fiddle loaning options. Caregivers must attend class with younger students.

Songs of the Carter Family
with Meredith Wilkerson

Learn the history behind this folk music-pioneering family in a delightful 6-week session taught by Meredith Wilkerson. Students will explore a different Carter Family song each week.
Bring your instrument and learn to play each song, or simply join in with the singing. This class will include visits from special guests who will share their favorite songs and stories.
This is an adult level class, designed for students age 13 and up.
What to bring: Instrument of choice or just your voice, notebook and/or recording device, water.
Prerequisites: None
